The continuation of rain is putting a damper on this years fireworks. Here is a rundown on local events so far:

The Austin Symphony Concert & Fireworks extravaganza at Zilker Parker is scheduled to continue. Unfortunately a shuttle will no longer be provided by Cap Metro. According to the website:

“The closest parking for concertgoers will be the lots surrounding Austin High School or Park Hills Baptist Church. Patrons needing handicapped accessible parking will need to enter Zilker Park from the west from MoPac. Law enforcement will be stationed to assist concertgoers with properly marked vehicles into designated parking areas.”

Round Rock July 4th Fireworks and Frontier Days Celebration:

July 4 Frontier Days: July 4 parade still slated for July 4 at 10 am. Frontier Days festivities canceled for July 4. Fireworks and modified reschedule for July 13.

Pflugerville Pfirecracker Pfestival: Canceled

The Pflugerville Pfirecracker Pfestival has been cancelled due to the ongoing inclement weather. The lake grounds are too muddy to allow for onsite parking, Pfluger Lane is currently closed due to high water over the road, and the weather forecast predicts continuous rain through next week.

The Pfestival will be rescheduled and a date will be released once the event committee has met to discuss plans.

No cancellation has been listed so far on the website for Georgetown.

As of midnight on July 3rd, Cedar Park has yet to post a cancellation on their Event Hotline. They do recommend that you check back before heading out for their event, though. You can reach the Event Hotline at 401-5818.

So far no cancellation has been posted for the San Marcos Summerfest. Ditto for the Dripping Springs Fire in the Sky Independence Day Celebration.
