Maker Faire comes to Austin, Calls for Makers
I don’t know how I missed hearing that the Maker Faire was coming to Austin, but somehow I did. Thankfully I saw a blurb about it in todays Austinist. I’m a big fan of MAKE Magazine, a magazine guaranteed to delight any DIY’er. Want to make the head of your LEGO minifig light up? No problem! (I personally want a complete light-up chess set!) Build your own hummingbird feeder? Not a problem!
If you are an avid DIY’er, now is your chance to show off your creations. The Austin Maker Faire has just extended their deadline to September 6th. Engineers, scientists, crafters, hacks, crazy people and artists are all welcome. More information and entry applications can be found on the MakerFaire website. The event will be held October 20-21 at the Travis County Fairgrounds right here in Austin, TX.
Makers who lives in Houston, Dallas and San Antonio are also encouraged to enter.
