The Weekend Line-up
It’s that time again. Happy Friday. How many of you will be lining up at midnight for the latest Harry Potter book? BookPeople sold out of their 1500 copies already. They will be having a party and distributing books tonight as will Barnes and Noble. Even WalMart is getting into the swing of things and will be selling books starting at 12:01am.
As for the rest of the weekend:
Austin Under the Stars - 6pm-midnight, Saturday, at St David’s Episcopal Church, 304 E. Seventh. 472-1196. Free. Bring chairs, telescopes, binoculars and refreshments. Friends of the Austin Planetarium will be on hand.
City Wide Garage Sale - Saturday/Sunday, 10m-5pm. Palmer Events Center. $5 for a 2 day pass, kids under 12 Free
Summer Skate Fest - Registration from 10-11:45. Event from 10am-5pm. Free. Mabel Davis Park, 3427 Parker. 472-7343. Spinning, skating and the Austin Fire Department will be their showing off their truck for the kids. Food and fun with proceeds going to benefit Austin-area charities.
Paramount Summer Classics presents The King and I @ 3:30pm Saturday and Arsenic and Old Lace at 7pm on Saturday.
Yoga @ Barton Springs - Free. Barton Springs. Saturdays 10am. Meet at the South Gate entrance.
The Wrens at Emo’s. Doors open at 8pm. Show starts at 10pm. Saturday. Tickets $10 in advance

Murder Myster Special, Saturday, 8pm-10:30pm, $50 for open-window coach and $75 for climate-controlled lounge car seating. Ticvket price includes a boxed meal and two drink tickets (good for beer, wine or soft drinks.) Actors from Laughing out Loud Productions transform the vintage train into the setting for a murder mystery.

Big Star Burlesque, Saturday, July 21st, 8:30pm, The Hideout on Congress Ave, between 6th and 7th streets. This month’s show will feature the 2 new games and all new routines.. Tickets just $12 in advance or $14 at the door!
